Saint Joseph’s Month Mission Momentum: Maine Needs

March is Saint Joseph’s Month, and each year we focus on one of our core values during it. This year it is the core value of community. In particular, we “extend this value of community by reaching out to neighbors and to members of the broader civic and ecclesial communities.” In this spirit, during this year’s Saint Joseph’s month there will be a series of Mission Momentum Conversations with local organizations that are making a difference in our community.
Maine Needs is a grassroots organization that strives to help individuals and families in Maine meet their basic, material needs by providing donated clothing, hygiene products, household items, and other necessities. It focuses on those starting life over from scratch: domestic abuse survivors, asylum seekers and those facing financial hardships.
