Meet Monica Calzolari, Interim Chief Enrollment Officer
Meet Monica Calzolari, our new interim chief enrollment officer. She comes to us having just completed a successful interim enrollment assignment at SUNY–Old Westbury where she was able to positively impact both processes and results.
She brings four decades of experience in higher education and industry across the United States to Saint Joe’s. In addition to her work at SUNY–Old Westbury, Monica has experience in both marketing and enrollment at a number of institutions, including UMASS Boston, Hartwick College, Allegheny College, Suffolk University, and Johnson & Wales University.
Monica is well versed in enrollment management best practices. In her role at the University of Massachusetts, she supported admissions, recruiting, retention, financial aid, scholarships, the Registrar’s Office, and Veterans’ Affairs. She helped the Admissions team attract and enroll more than 4,000 diverse freshman, transfer, and international students every year during her 8-year tenure. She also helped fill UMass Boston’s first residence hall, which opened in 2018. Monica began her career in the Vassar and Tulane University’s admissions offices. She has worked closely with Allegheny College, Florida Gulf Coast University, Suffolk University, Johnson & Wales University and SUNY Old Westbury as a consultant. She served as Hartwick College’s Chief Marketing Officer and increased online enrollments by 30%.
Monica is a graduate of Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY, and earned her MBA at UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management in Los Angeles, CA. She studied in London during her Junior Year Abroad.
