Graduate Admissions Exams

Prospective graduate and business school applicants from all around the world who are interested in pursuing a master’s, MBA, specialized master’s in business or doctoral degree take the GRE revised General Test. Applicants come from varying educational and cultural backgrounds and the GRE revised General Test provides schools with a common measure for comparing candidates’ qualifications.

The Educational Testing Service offers a variety of free and low-cost tools to help you prepare for the GRE® revised General Test.

Many graduate business programs rely on the GMAT to make admissions decisions.

The GMAT offers free preparation software for download.

Law School Admission Test (LSAT)

The LSAT is an integral part of the law school admission process in the United States, Canada, and a growing number of other countries. It provides a standard measure of acquired reading and verbal reasoning skills that law schools can use as one of several factors in assessing applicants.

• Understand the application requirements;

Pre-Senior Year Summer

• Narrow your list of graduate programs.
• Identify when each application is due.
• Investigate scholarship and graduate assistantship opportunities.
• Write the first draft of your statement of purpose.
• Contact individuals who could potentially write letters of recommendation.

Senior Year

• Select the final schools you are applying to.
• Register for exams, if necessary (GRE, LSAT, MCAT, GMAT).
• Review application materials.
• Submit completed applications.
