You Snooze You Lose? The Neuroscience of Sleep and Dreaming with Dr. Marion E. Young, Chair/Associate Professor of Psychology, Director of the Honors Program
Why do we sleep? What are the functions of dreams? Do dreams mean anything? Should I hit the snooze button again? How can I get better sleep? Should I drink coffee after dinner? Will bananas help me dream more? These are some of the questions that have fascinated Dr. Young for most of her academic career. In this presentation, she will provide the audience with an introduction into the biological, cultural, and historical significance of sleep and dreaming and help the audience unlock their superpower.
