Oct. 5 – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph’s College graduate student David Walbridge (Hampden, Mass.) has been selected as the GNAC Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this season.

Walbridge made five saves and picked off a handful of balls in the box to help the Monks defeat Johnson & Wales, 1-0, in a rematch of the 2019 GNAC Championship on Saturday. The graduate student keeper also logged 60:29 minutes of scoreless play in a 4-1 win over Regis on Wednesday.

In 10 games this fall, Walbridge has posted a 0.80 goals against average with a 7-1-2 record and three shutouts over 901 minutes in goal. He sports an .855 save percentage with 47 saves and eight goals allowed and ranks first in the conference in games and wins, second in minutes, and third in goals against average and save percentage.

The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been announced and Saint Joseph’s College junior Trevor Flanagan (Monmouth, Maine) has earned GNAC Men’s Golf Player of the Week for the second time this fall.

Flanagan claims the weekly award after shooting a one-under par 70 through the first 18 holes of the University of Southern Maine Fall Classic on Sunday. His play saw him tied for first atop the five-team field after the first day and he finished the tournament on Monday with a 153 card.

Flanagan collected his first GNAC Player of the Week honor this fall on September 13th after capturing Medalist accolades with a 74 card in the John Queenan Memorial Tournament on September 8th and posting a 75 card in the USM Duel the previous week.
