Commuter Kitchen and additional Commuter Resources!

The Mercy Center in partnership with Student Government, is opening up our kitchen and lounge space to all commuters as a place where you can come, relax, grab some food, and find some pause before your next commitment.

We also recognize that many commuter students do not have an SJC meal plan, and sometimes it can be difficult to plan for your breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks throughout the day when you are jumping between class, home, and work. Our kitchen will include a stocked pantry and refrigerator of ready to heat and eat meals – as well as a fully stocked coffee and tea station. Commuters are welcome to share in our pantry and meals at any time.

We’ll also have a set of lockers for commuters to use! For those days where you don’t want to keep walking back and forth to your car parked in the Ball Lot . You can reserve a locker for the semester and keep whatever you need in your locker in our Mercy Center commuter kitchen. Contact kcody@sjcme.edu if you would like to reserve a locker!

• Lockers! Keep your belongings safe throughout the day!
• Coffee and Tea station – grab a warm drink between classes
• Fridge, Microwave, and toaster oven
• Kitchen seating area to enjoy your meal/snack
• A fully stocked food pantry and fridge full of meals and snacks for you to enjoy here or take with you
• A fully stocked toiletry pantry with everyday items like shampoo, soap, toothpaste, feminine products, etc.
• Comfy couches and chairs for you to relax in or study in between classes
• Great company!

The Mercy Center and Commuter Kitchen are NOW open and ready for you to enjoy! Lockers are being installed this week – but can be reserved in advance, just shoot us an email!
