March can be a hard time of year. Often we are ready for spring, yet it seems like winter is never-ending. But take heart – no matter how long it seems to take, spring always arrives.

If we look around this time of year, we can see small signs that nature is beginning to emerge from its winter rest. Daylight is increasing. Things are slowly greening up. And if we pay attention to ourselves, we can see that our own energy is changing, too — driving us to make plans, reconnect, get out and get things done.

Our Living Well program this month is focused on supporting us as we EMERGE into spring, with activities that will help us:

  • Keep moving, at least 5,000 steps per day
  • Pause to interrupt stress cycles, and maintain balance
  • Pay attention to our attention, and learn what pulls us off task
  • Share a laugh or memory with someone to reconnect
  • Power down for better sleep
  • Add “super veggies” to meals, to emerge into spring healthy and strong

Let’s make the most of that emerging energy this month. Here’s to Living Well!
