Mission Momentum: James Healy of Maine, America’s First Black Bishop

James Healy was the second Bishop of Maine and America’s first Black bishop. To commemorate Black Catholic History Month, Dr. James O’Toole, emeritus professor of history at Boston College will join us to discuss his research on Bishop Healy published in Passing for White: Race, Religion, and the Healy Family, 1820-1920.
