Pelletier Named GNAC Runner & Rookie of the Week
9/5/23 – The first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors of the 2023-24 academic year have been released and Saint Josephs’ College sophomore Jacob Pelletier (Augusta, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Men’s Cross Country Runner and Rookie of the Week.
Pelletier claims double accolades after leading the Monks to a team victory with a top finish, and 16:06 time, in the 5K Charger Invitational on Friday. His time was 21 seconds faster than the runner-up finisher in a race that featured five GNAC programs.

9/11/23 – Sophomore Jacob Pelletier (Augusta, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Men’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week for the second-consecutive reporting period.
Pelletier Earns GNAC Honors for Third Consecutive Week
9/18/23 – Saint Joseph’s College sophomore Jacob Pelletier (Augusta, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Men’s Cross Country Runner & Rookie of the Week.
Foley Named GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week
9/11/23 – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been announced and Saint Joseph’s College junior Liam Foley (Middleton, Mass.) has been named as the GNAC Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week.
Foley earns the first GNAC weekly honor of his career after helping the Monks post a pair of shutout victories in conference play last week. The junior netminder made a pair of saves in a 1-0 win over Dean College on Tuesday and turned away eight shots, including several acrobatic saves, in a 1-0 triumph over preseason favorite Johnson & Wales University on Saturday.
Through four games this fall Foley has logged all 360 minutes between the pipes for the Monks while sporting a 0.50 goals against average with an .895 save percentage. The first-year starter has made 17 saves and allowed two goals while posting a pair of shutouts.
Foley Earns Second Consecutive GNAC Weekly Honor
9/18/23 – Junior Liam Foley (Middleton, Mass.) has been selected as the GNAC Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for the second consecutive reporting period.
Holland Named GNAC Libero of the Week
9/18/23 – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph’s College senior Sam Holland (Gilmanton, N.H.) has been named as the GNAC Women’s Volleyball Libero of the Week.
Holland averaged 5.67 digs per set and added eight service aces in three SJC victories last week. The senior captain picked up 39 total digs in a GNAC tri-match sweep over Norwich and Anna Maria on Friday. Holland netted 12 digs at Husson on Thursday with 18 versus the Cadets and 21 against the AMCATS.
In five matches and 12 sets so far this fall, Holland – who began the season nursing an injury – has notched eight aces and 53 digs at a 4.42 digs per set clip.
