Help Serve Our Community in Honor of a Beloved SJC Professor

Share

Dr. Beth Auger was a beloved professor of biology at Saint Joseph’s. Upon her passing in 2017, the College renamed its annual day of service in her honor. This year, the Beth Auger Day of Service will take place on Friday, September 30, and the goal is to include as many faculty, staff, and students as possible. It will also coincide with the beginning of homecoming to include any of our alumni who wish to participate.

The service will be with local non-profit organizations, include those who work with animals (a special interest of Dr. Auger). There will be two shifts (8:30 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 – 4:30 PM) with lunch provided in between. We invite you to join other members of the Saint Joseph’s community to bring our core values of community and compassion to our surrounding community and beyond. You can register and select the timeslot that works best for you here.

And to our online community, if you live in Maine close to the Saint Joseph’s campus in Standish, we invite you to join us for one of the service shifts: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM. If you do not live in Maine, we invite you to commit to service in your local community on either September 30, October 1, or October 2. Either way, please indicate your interest in joining us to honor Dr. Auger’s memory by completing this short form.

If you have any questions, please contact vpmission@sjcme.edu.

The Deadline to Sign Up is Monday, September 19.
