“Before starting my degree I was a missionary priest in the diocese of Portland, Maine, from the diocese of Kumbo, Cameroon (West Africa). I'd been serving here in Portland before I enrolled in school at Saint Joe’s. I just completed my studies in science of education with a specialty in catholic education. It took me about three years because I decided to continue working as Chaplain in Maine Medical Center throughout my time in the program. The knowledge I've acquired in my courses here will help me not only in my pastoral work, but it will also help me become a better teacher. I've been a priest for 19 years now, and during that time I’ve worked as a chaplain, a principal and an administrator, all without training. So, after completing this course my eyes have opened and I'm ready to do those jobs with what I’ve learned under my belt.”
