Monks Win First GNAC Men’s Cross Country Championship!

Congratulation to the men’s cross country team on winning the first monks men’s cross country GNAC championship.
11/4/23 — Saint Joseph’s College hosted the 2023 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Championships on the campus course on Saturday. The St. Joe’s men claimed the program’s first-ever GNAC Championship with 44 points in the 8K race while the SJC women finished eighth with 172 team points in the 6K event.
The SJC men edged defending champion Norwich University, which registered 55 points and was forced to settle for the runner-up trophy, while Colby-Sawyer College (64 points), Regis College (120), and Lasell University (130) rounded out the top five. University of Saint Joseph (131), Emmanuel College (184), and Dean College (195) wrapped up the list of eight full squads while New England College, Rivier University, and Mitchell College fielded incomplete teams in the 2023 conference event.
