10/11/22 – Wylde Tabbed as GNAC Rookie of the Week
Freshman forward Henry Wylde (Perth, Western Australia) has been selected as the GNAC Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week. Wylde helped the Monks post a pair of GNAC wins with a goal and an assist. In 10 games this fall, Wylde has tallied two goals and an assist for a total of five points. He is currently tied for third on the team in goals and fifth in points.
10/12/22 – Ward Breaks Two Team Records in Lopsided Victory
Grad student Austin Ward (Exeter, N.H.) broke the Monks’ single-game records with five goals and 10 total points to help the Monks defeat Colby-Sawyer College on Wednesday afternoon. Ward broke the program’s single-game marks previously held by his former teammate, Brett Mattos ’19, who netted four goals for eight total points in a win over Suffolk University on September 30, 2017.
10/17/22 – Ward Tabbed as GNAC Player of the Week
Grad student Austin Ward (Exeter, N.H.) has been selected as the GNAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week.
Ward claims the weekly award after scoring six goals in a pair of conference wins last week. In a 9-1 win at Colby-Sawyer College on Wednesday, he netted five markers to break the Monks’ single-game records for goals and points (10). On Saturday, Ward converted a penalty kick early in a 2-1 triumph at Lasell University.
10/18/22 – Waryas Named GNAC Co-Player & Rookie of the Week
The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been released and Saint Joseph’s College freshman Maya Waryas (Bellows Falls, Vt.) has been named as the GNAC Co-Player and Rookie of the Week.
Waryas notched a pair of hat trick performances in two GNAC victories for the Monks last week. The freshman forward put a three-spot on the board in a 4-3 comeback overtime victory at Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday and provided all the team’s offense in a 3-1 triumph at USJ on Saturday.
10/18/22 – Flanagan Earns Third Weekly GNAC Accolade
The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been announced and Saint Joseph’s College senior Trevor Flanagan (Monmouth, Maine) has been chosen as the GNAC Golfer of the Week for the third time this fall.
At the two-day, 36-hole NEIGA Championship at the Captains Course in Brewster, Mass. this past weekend, Flanagan was tops among GNAC golfers – and finished tied for 13th overall – with a 148 (72-76) card, the lowest score ever posted by an SJC golfer in the annual New England Championship event.
10/24/22 – Waryas Claims Third GNAC Rookie Honor
The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph’s College freshman Maya Waryas (Bellows Falls, Vt.) has been named as the GNAC Field Hockey Rookie of the Week for the second-consecutive week and third time overall this season.
Waryas tied a team record and provided half of the Monks’ scoring output with six goals in a 12-0 victory over Dean College on Saturday.
