Sarah Comtois ’18, an EMMY winner!

Sarah Comtois ’18, a Broadcast Director at NEWS CENTER Maine, received an Emmy Award at the 45th Annual Boston/ New England Emmy® Awards ceremony, which was held at the historic Wang Theatre in Boston on Saturday, June 4th.
Comtois, who is now in her fifth year at NEWS Center Maine, is the recipient of the 2022 Most Outstanding Director Live or Recorded Live Emmy® Award. Her award-winning video submission, titled “Technical Director Composite,” is a 15-minute set of clips showing the complicated ‘behind the scenes’ work she does on a daily basis in the station’s control room during news broadcasts.
After the event, Sarah said “Last night still feels like a dream! First Emmy nomination, and first win. Had the best time playing dress up and celebrating the amazing work my colleagues and I do on a daily basis. So proud to be a part of this team!”
