Swim team: Women Place Third, Men Fourth, Overall at GNAC

2/4/24 – The Saint Joseph’s College women’s team closed out the 2024 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships in third place with 553 points at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Sports and Recreation Center on Sunday.
The SJC men’s team capped the weekend in fourth place with 34 total points.
A total of nine SJC program records were broken this weekend, including three by senior Brooke Podsiadlo (Granby, Mass.) and a pair set by freshman Berkley Hutchins (Springfield, Vt.). A trio of relay team records fell as well, as new 200-Medley, 200-Free, and 400-Free marks were set at the 2024 GNAC Championship.
Hutchins highlighted the event for the Monks by claiming GNAC Women’s Swimming & Diving Co-Rookie of the Year honors.
