This spring break, challenge yourself to look beyond yourself.

Share

During this spring break, consider how you can make a difference in the lives of others. You can do this by participating in Spring Break Workfest.

But what is Spring Break Workfest?

Spring Break workfest 2022 students volunteering at Mercy Farm in VermontIt’s a week-long experience offering hands-on opportunities to take a closer look at issues facing people and communities in particular regions of the United States. You offer your time and service while developing personal relationships in the community we serve. The program is student-led and student-driven, and students serve in communities such as:

New Orleans; Santa Fe, NM; Georgetown, DE; Appalachian Region; and more.

The trip is March 5-10 and costs $200 but financial aid is available!

Rachel GardellaIn her own words: 2022 participant Rachel Gardella

“There are so many ways that people can help others, and one lesson that I learned on this trip was that a community is made up of many building blocks and although we weren’t helping out in public such as the food cupboard, the farm is one building block of the community and it takes many places like the farm to build a strong community. As part of the community, the farm donates vegetables, honey, and other products to those in need.”
