SJC Wellness Resources

SJC is committed to fostering a positive and healthy workplace where everyone can thrive. Our goal is to provide you with the tools and support needed to reduce stress, improve your health, and build greater resiliency. Below are offerings for wellbeing and mental health. Please reach out to the Wellness Department with any questions (wellness@sjcme.edu).

SJC Relaxation Room

Check out the SJC Relaxation Room in O’Connor Hall.

We created the Relaxation Room as an opportunity for members of our campus to take a timeout and be able to relax in a safe and peaceful environment. Anyone who comes can choose how they want to relax with the different offerings that we have available to them. Some relaxation techniques can be sound therapy, massage therapy, art therapy, self care and more. People can choose to sit at a desk, lay in a bed, stretch on a yoga mat or rest in a bean bag. Our goal is to open the room several times a week to allow time to rejuvenate! Individuals can book the Relaxation Room by going to https://sjc-health.titaniumhwc.com/

Wellness Program Enhancement

In our commitment to partner with you as you strive to reach your wellness goals, Saint Joseph’s College has enhanced the wellness benefits.

This calendar year benefit is provided to ensure that employees have the time to schedule their annual preventive wellness exams with their Primary Care Physician, Dentist, and other medical professionals. Full-time employees will be allowed to take a half-day off and be provided up to a total of 4 hours paid time to attend their annual wellness visits. Preventative exams are defined as physical exams, dental cleanings and other preventative procedures such as mammogram and/or colonoscopy regardless of whether you are covered under the College’s health insurance plan. Note: the time off request for such visits must be coordinated and pre-approved by your supervisor. For non-exempt, hourly employees, the appropriate number of wellness hours must be applied to the timecard via a request in ADP.

We encourage our employees to take advantage of this enhanced wellness option.

Please contact a member of the Human Resources Team should you have any questions.
