The one constant in medicine is time—time spent looking for answers. Josie Ring ’21 Biology (Medical Biology, Pre-Med) knows all about that, having spent countless hours in the #SaintJoesMaine lab with the trial and error of different techniques working meticulously on her senior capstone research project. “I chose to investigate how lactic acid bacteria isolated from a dietary probiotic supplement interacted with three different antimicrobials. The data collected from my study can contribute to the newly developing research regarding antimicrobial-resistant lactic acid bacteria.”
