Jesse Minor ’21 has joined the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) as a Nurse Practitioner to the Ear, Nose, and Throat Primary Care Team at UPMC Cole in Coudersport, Pennsylvania.

Ben White ’12 is newly employed as Assistant Superintendent at New Hampshire School Administrative Unit 29. He is very excited to build relationships with students, staff, and families in his new role.

Obituaries

It is with deep sadness that we announce that past Board Member Sister Jean Little, R.S.M., ’62 passed away on October 29. Sr. Jean was also an alumna of Saint Joseph’s College.  More information about Sr. Jean can be found here.

Vicki Blake ’74 passed away on August 17, 2021, at the age of 68 in Long Beach, Calif. after an illness. She was born to Russell Blake and Ruth (Theriault) Blake in Portland on Sept. 4, 1952.

Vicki was raised in Westbrook and graduated there in 1970. After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree at Saint Joseph’s College, where she was head cheerleader for the Monks, Vicki moved to Long Beach, Calif. She lived in Belmont Heights, Calif., loved to travel and had a career with the W Hotel chain.

Vicki was predeceased by her parents; and her uncle, Phil and aunt, Jeanette Jordan.

She is survived and missed by her aunt, Barbara Nichols in California; her cousins; and many friends in Maine and California.

Maxine L. Rice ’85 passed away on October 19, 2021, in Sweden Valley Manor from COVID. Maxine was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Shinglehouse. She attended Mass at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in DeBary, FL. She was also a member of the American Nurses Association and member of Potter County Red Cross. Her family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers.

Linda M. Hionas ’85 passed away on October 24, 2021, at Mercy Health St. Joseph’s Warren Hospital. She enjoyed reading, cooking, decorating, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Her family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers.

Alesandra MacDonald Harrington ’82 of Duxbury, MA, passed away on November 2, 2021. She earned her RN from St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing and then completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Joseph’s College. She spent most of her career working in Public Health in the Greater Boston area and enjoyed sailing and traveling. Her family is in our thoughts and prayers.
