Today, we’re introducing: Know Before You Go! We’re highlighting helpful tips for incoming students and introducing you to some of the departments we think you’ll want to know about.

Know Before You Go:

Safety first! We work hard to make sure your college experience is all fun and games (who says studying can’t be fun?). We can’t do this without the help and expertise from Campus Safety. With practices, policies and procedures in place to ensure student safety and well-being, our Campus Safety team creates the perfect environment to help set our students up for success!

What’s a fun fact about you and/or your department?
We actively recruit and employ students. We’re proud to support students in their career and professional development.

What is an often overlooked safety tip that’s important to remember?
It’s crucial for college students to know about fire safety on campus. There is always the danger of fire, and something as simple as burning toast can put a dorm at risk.

In terms of safety and security, are there any specific challenges students face and should be aware of?
Get to know us. We have practices, policies and procedures in place to ensure student safety and well-being.

What advice would you give to new students?
Learn how to Adjust & Adapt. Get good at responsive and proactive change. Success goes to those who are adaptable.
