“It wasn't bad at all—just a nose swab—and it puts me at ease knowing we're testing. I think most students feel that way.”

Johanna Douglas, ’22 and Kaleigh Walsh ’22 walk back from their COVID-19 surveillance test at the campus health center—they’re a part of this week’s cohort of students being tested as part of our multi-layered approach to #SaintJoesMaine safety. Asked how she felt about the test, Douglas said, “It wasn’t bad at all—just a nose swab—and it puts me at ease knowing we’re testing. I think most students feel that way.” It feels good to have our students back—not only learning but also taking care of one another. After over 100 years of being the official motto of the College—”Fortitudo et Spes” aka #CourageAndHope—rings true now more than ever.
