All are invited to join Saint Joe’s Public Health in a Developing Country students as they unveil the findings of their recent anemia project in Guatemala. The student research presentation, Anemia in rural Guatemala, will be held on March 22, 4 PM – 5:30 PM at Baggot Street.

This student presentation will include a summary presentation, poster illustrations of their major findings, and samples of the iron-rich meal we prepared for anemic patients in Guatemala. Stories of personal transformation will also be shared.
About the research
In December in partnership with Partners in Development, these students, along with faculty, headed out on an international service trip to Guatemala. The students screened an estimated 200 villagers for anemia (mostly mothers and their children) and provided a public health workshop for those with anemia.
