Pelletier Earns Fourth GNAC Rookie of the Week
10/2/23 — The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been announced and Saint Joseph’s College sophomore Jacob Pelletier (Augusta, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Men’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this fall.
Pelletier, who has also earned a pair of GNAC Runner of the Week honors this season, takes home top rookie accolades after placing 23rd with a 27:15 time in the 8K Maine State Championship in Bangor on Saturday.
Pelletier Secures Fifth GNAC Rookie of the Week Honor
10/9/23 — The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph’s College sophomore Jacob Pelletier (Augusta, Maine) has earned GNAC Men’s Cross Country Rookie of the Year accolades for the fifth time this fall.
The home course was kind to Pelletier, who won the 8K Runnin’ Monks Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 7). He took top prize at the event with a time of 28:29, besting his closest competitor by 41 seconds. His time also helped lead the Monks to their second team championship of the season.
Braden Camire earns GNAC Co-Rookie of the Year
10/10/23 — Saint Joseph’s College placed fourth in the GNAC Golf Championship with a 672 team card and was led by freshman Braden Camire (Saco, Maine), who tied for fifth with a 161 card and earned GNAC Co-Rookie of the Year and First Team All-Conference accolades. Braden also tied for fifth (161, 80-81) at the championship.
Matthews & Hutchins Collect GNAC Weekly Honors
10/16/23 — The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced the first swimming & diving weekly honors of the 2023-24 academic year and a pair of Saint Joseph’s College athletes have earned accolades.
Junior Kiley Matthews (South Portland, Maine) and freshman Berkley Hutchins (Springfield, Vt.) have claimed GNAC Women’s Swimmer and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively. The weekly award is a career-first for both athletes.
Liam Foley earns third GNAC Goalie of the Week honor
10/30/23 — The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been announced and Saint Joseph’s College junior Liam Foley (Middleton, Mass.) has been selected as the GNAC Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for the third time this season.
Foley played 180 minutes in goal for Saint Joseph’s last week and did not allow a goal. He closed out the regular season by recording a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory over Mitchell, making two saves in the process.
