Who should decide what’s taught in our schools?

Hosted by Chaplaincy of Maine, Make Shift Coffee House
April 1, 9:30-11AM
Maine Coast Waldorf School, 57 Desert Rd, Freeport
To what extent should school curriculum be decided by local school boards? The federal government? Parents? Teachers? Students?
How much morality should be taught in school? What morality? Should it be different for private schools and public schools?
Should any books, videos, devices be banned? What are your answers to these questions and why do you believe what you believe?
As with all the Make Shift Coffee Houses, this is not a debate. It’s simply about understanding each other’s views; how we have come to believe the things that we believe. It will be a unique opportunity to say what you think, and hear from others who think differently, with respect.
