Catholic Teaching and Science with Dr. Stephen Barr was presented on March 23 and sponsored by the Center for Faith and Spirituality.
Dr. Barr is a professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Delaware. His field of research is theoretical particle physics. In addition to his research and teaching in physics, he has also written and lectured extensively on the relation of science and religion. He is a member of the Academy of Catholic Theology, and in 2007 he was awarded the Benemerenti Medal, a papal award given for service to the Church.
