SJC Book Club is an opportunity to enliven our core value of community through conversations about books that explore themes related to our mission and core values.
Starting in July we will be reading Kindred by Octavia Butler. This visionary author’s masterpiece pulls us—along with her Black female hero—through time to face the horrors of slavery and explore the impacts of racism, sexism, and white supremacy then and now.
